Santorini

Named after St. Irene, Santorini is one of the most famous Greek Islands in the Aegean Sea. Created by a volcanic eruption, this crescent shaped island has charming white-washed villages perched on the cliffs with magnificent sea views. The Santorini villas make a great self-catering base from which to explore the area.

There are many ways to get around this steep island but perhaps the best views can be seen from the cable cars.  Take a step back in time and ride a donkey – the oldest and still the best way to get around without harming the ozone!  The best known beach on Santorini is Perissa. Well organized with sunbeds and shady parasols there are a number of beach bars, restaurants and water sports activities here.  Take a half day trip on an old sailing boat to the foot of the lava flow ‘Nea Kameni’ where guests can climb to the top of the volcano. The boat then sails on to ‘Palea Kameni’ where swimming in the hot springs is great fun.
