Property Description

Located 15km from Kalamata town centre in the Peloponnese. The Villa, and paved courtyard, is situated in 5025 square metres of walled and landscaped olive grove, overlooking the Taygetos gorge and the beaches of Sandover and immediately outside the working village of Megali Mandinia with its five tavernas.

In an area of Greece noted for its outstanding natural beauty and scenery, the panoramic views from this Villa would have to be described as truly stunning and exceptional. Eastwards the eye follows the natural path of the gorge to Mount Taygetos. To the south, the fishing village of Kitries,the harbour with it authentic fresh seafood restaurants is a mere 10 minute drive. Further views on the Mediterranean and sweeping west, the Messinian bay and peninsular to Koroi. A terrace of olive trees is to the north of the house.

This luxury three bedroomed villa is walkable (less than 5 mins) to a panoramic taverna and (in 10 mins) to the village which has four tavernas and a minimarket all open all year round. It is less than a 5 min drive to the nearest sandy beach where there are four tavernas, one with plunge pool.

Flexible arrival and departure dates. Kalamata airport is about 30 minutes drive from the house - for direct flights try charterflights.co.uk, airflights.co.uk, Viking airways, thomascookairlines.co.uk and thomsonfly.co.uk. Kalamata also benefits from two flights a day from Athens.

If you are driving from Athens, it is motorway and dual carriageway with the exception of the last 70km which is amazing scenery, In total allow about 3.5 hours from Athens to the house.
