Property Description

Located in a sleepy hamlet with stunning views on all sides of the award winning Cotes de Provence vineyards, La Magnanerie is the perfect place to relax. The fully equipped house stands in its own secluded lawned garden of olive and fruit trees and features two stone terraces one of which surrounds the huge swimming pool and leads to a shady summer kitchen.

La Magnanerie is a beautifully restored old grange, built in traditional stone with wooden beams and simple Provençal decoration throughout. It has a big through lounge/dining room with a lovely open fireplace, kitchen, three bedrooms and three bathrooms as well as a separate annexe which can provide a fourth double bedroom and en suite bathroom. (This may not be available in 09 owing to renovation work.) 

The house is in the heart of Verte Provence near the River Argens with the medieval villages of Le Thoronet, Cabasse and the town of Carces only five-ten minutes by car. They offer a full selection of shops, services and Provençal markets. Other nearby towns include Cotignac and Lorgues.

PLEASE NOTE: The house is suitable for six people. On application it can occassionally be rented with the annexe to provide a further double bedroom bringing total to eight. The price for the annexe is £195 per week. This should be added to the prices shown below with the exception of July and August when this increases to £225.

IMPORTANT
Linen is included in the price of the weekly mini clean/laundry cost of @ 50-80 euros depending on party size plus 5 euros per head - payable direct to cleaner. Bath towels can be supplied for small additional laundry charge. Pool towels are not provided.

Smoking is not permitted in the house or annexe.

Inside the Property

Lounge/dining area

The house has been beautifully restored with antique beams, traditional terracotta tiles throughout and a wonderful old flagstone open fireplace in the lounge/ dining room. The lounge area has large comfy sofas where you can enjoy satellite television, DVD and sound system. It is simply but comfortably decorated.
French doors lead out onto the top terrace.

Off the lounge area there is a WC and small bathroom.

The dining area has a large oak refectory table seating eight.

Kitchen

The kitchen is decorated in Provençal style. It is fully equipped with all mod. cons and all appliances are listed on the home page.

French doors lead out onto the top terrace where are a large outdoor table seats eight comfortably.

Bedrooms

The main house has two double bedrooms (one double bed and one which can be configured into a double or two singles),these two bedrooms share a bathroom. In addition,there is a further twin bedded room with en-suite. The third bathroom is situated on the ground floor.

The fourth double bedroom (double bed) is in the adjacent annexe also with it's own en suite.

Annexe

This apartment is completely independent of the house but is only steps away across the track and above our garage which is opposite the house. 
 
It has its own entrance up stone stairs and a small patio. It consists of a large double bedroom with en suite shower/WC. It is simply and tastefully decorated in white with terracotta floor tiles and the original beams have been exposed.

The house can be rented separately or on occasion with the annexe.

Outside the Property

The Gardens

The house stands in its own secluded garden and enjoys two large stone terraced areas. The upstairs terrace leads out from the lounge and kitchen area and this has a large table seating eight.
The other large terraced area is by the swimming pool.

The lower garden area features a hammock in the shade of the trees.

Swimming Pool

La Magnanerie has a beautiful large rectangular pool, which is terraced all the way around. There are sun loungers and chairs around the pool area for relaxation. New in 07 there is a solar powered shutter cover for the pool to comply with French safety law which will also keep pool warmer in low season.

There is also a shower and WC.

Summer kitchen

On the lower terrace by the pool area, the summer kitchen is fully equipped with hob, BBQ and a large oak table and benches. Perfect for shaded summer dining or warm evenings.

Booking & Payment Info

Payment: A deposit cheque for 50% of the total cost is required at the time of booking. Final balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival date. A security deposit of £250 per week is also taken to cover breakages, additional cleaning or electricity costs, over and above normal use. Payment is in Euros at prevailing exchange rate.
