Property Description

A majestic house, set in acres of olive groves and mature gardens, enjoying wonderful views out across Provencal countryside. Villa Aix also boasts 7 bedrooms, its own tennis court and a lovely large, heated swimming pool.

There is a new 18-hole golf course virtually next door to the property and the charming market town of Aix-en-Provence, often referred to as the 'town of a thousand fountains' is close by.

Aix-en-Provence is a wonderful place to explore, with picturesque streets home to restaurants, cafes and boutique shops. The big markets take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, whilst the town is renowned for its celebrated spas which are fed by natural hot springs, first used for this purpose by the Romans.

Inside the Property

The interiors of Villa Aix reflect the regal building with grand furniture adorning the large rooms.

The accommodation consists of:

On the Ground Floor: A large entrance hall, a large high ceiling living room with a fireplace and doors leading out onto the terrace, a large bright airy dining room with a fireplace and large windows overlooking the pool and outdoor seating area, and the well equipped kitchen.

On the First Floor: There are three double bedrooms. The Master bedroom with bathroom en suite, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a family bathroom and a lounge area.

On the Second Floor: There are a further four bedrooms. Two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lounge area.

The Orangerie houses the gym.

Outside the Property

The estate of some 25 acres is full of lavender, olive plantations and fruit orchards interpersed with cypress and oak trees.

The lovely large heated swimming pool is in a wonderful spot within the extensive grounds, lazy afternoons spent relaxing here are a pleasure to behold. There is a pool house with a shower and separate WC.

For the more energetic, there is a grass tennis court and a gym in the orangerie, or enjoy a walk through the olive groves, home to more than a thousand trees.

Closer to the house an ornate fountain adorns the frontage of the property, with mature trees providing welcome shaded areas in which to enjoy a glass or two of summer rose wine and take in the view of the Massif de l'Etoile.

Booking & Payment Info

A deposit is required on booking with the outstanding balance of the holiday required within 9 weeks of departure. The full amount is required if departure is within 9 weeks.

Standard holiday insurance is strongly recommended. 

Tenancies commence at 16:00 hours on the day of arrival and villas are to be vacated at 10:00 hours on the day of departure.

Starter welcome provisions provided. A food hamper can be arranged at extra cost.

Maid service 5 hours, 6 days per week.

Linen change once a week on arrival day. Extra changes available on request for an additional charge.

A local cook can be provided at this property, giving everyone the opportunity to really relax whilst away. This increasingly popular option can provide the service for given meals, or for multiple meals during the course of your holiday, and can work out extremely cost effective over restaurant prices. Cooks are on request and do need to be booked well in advance to avoid disappointment. They are usually payable locally at an hourly rate.

House Manager lives unobtrusively in an apartment with private access to the rear of the main house.
