Property Description

Maison Brûlée is a 200 year old converted bergerie made of local stone. It has been completely refurbished in 2008. Not only the inside of the house but the swimming pool too has been renewed. The tennis court is in very good condition.

The house sits in nearly 6 hectares of private grounds consisting of olive groves, fruit trees, and landscaped gardens. The property has breathtaking views, uninterupted in all directions, and is bordered by a national forest. Evenings provide stunning sunsets.

The house is in the commune of Fox-Amphoux and the local café, shop and post office are 1.8km away. There is an Auberge in the old village of Fox-Amphoux on the hill. The towns of Aups (10mins. in the car)and Cotignac (12mins. in the car)are almost equidistant and offer many shops, restaurants, markets, supermarkets and oodles of Provençal charm.

The Gorge du Verdon nearby offers Kayaking, canooing and boat trips. Stables can be found 5km away in Sillans-le-Cascade where horses can be rented and lessons can be booked. The area is also ideal for bike riding and walking and exploring.

Entertainment: DVD, Satellite TV, Broadband Internet, iPod player (Bose).

Linen: Everything provided except beach towels.

Final cleaning is included in the rental price and the bed linen and towels will be changed each complete weeks rental.

All 5 bedrooms sleep 2 adults. The house is stylish and classic.

Air conditioning in the master bedroom only.

Kitchen: completely new as of 2008. All appliances are Miele. American fridge with ice maker. Well equipped kitchen with all modern conveniences. No microwave.

Outside the Property

Swimming Pool: Renewed in 2008. Mosaic tiles. Saline system so gentler to the skin. Heated. There is a pool house with a real fire which is very attractive in the evening for drinks. Heated pool FREE of charge.

Booking & Payment Info

PAYMENT: A deposit cheque/transfer for 50% of the total cost is required at the time of booking. The final balance is required 8 weeks before the arrival date.

A bond/security deposit of £1500 is also taken to cover telephone and any breakages. This may vary dependant on the period rented.

Heating in winter will be charged on a usage basis.
