Property Description

Mas des Cerises is an old, 4 bedroom farmhouse that has been completely renovated to a high standard. It nestles among peach orchards, cherry and olive groves. It also offers total privacy and tranquility, yet is only a few minutes drive from the "chic" historic market town of Thuir.

The sun kissed beaches of the Mediterranean, cosmopolitan Perpignan, Spain and the Pyrenees mountains are all within 30 minutes drive.

There are spectacular views of Mount Canigou, which is normally snow-capped from November to June and dominates the skyline of this beautiful region.

Inside the Property

Interior description

Inside the villa it is spacious and bright . The sitting and dining area has a log burning fireplace and there is a large comfy sofa bed (that could sleep another 2 persons if required).

There is a large dining table and chairs.

The recently installed farmhouse kitchen is well equipped and there is a door that leads onto the large patio terraces that operates as the summer dining area.

There is a shower room with washbasin and WC off the hallway, along with a utility room.

The three large double bedrooms are also accessed from the hallway, all of which have patio doors leading out onto the terraces.

The Master bedroom has a large en suite walk-in shower room and there is also a dressing room.

There is a seperate bathroom on this level with a bath, shower and double washbasin and a second and seperate WC.

There is a staircase from the hall that leads up to a the fourth bedroom on the first floor which, which has two single beds with a dressing room attached.

Outside the Property

Outside description

You arrive at the property via a long private drive and the house is set within 2 acres. The garden surrounds the villa and has a large patio area which houses a BBQ, table and chairs and there is also an outside kitchen.

Next to the patio there is a the private, flood lit swimming pool with a lockable fence, making it safe for families with young children. that has a lockable gate. Sun beds are provided.

Behind the pool is a playing field which is ideal for children to play football, cricket, badminton etc, while under the watchful eye of their parents.

Other areas of the property include paddocks with horses and a spacious, secure car parking area for up to 6 cars.

Booking & Payment Info

PAYMENT: A deposit cheque for 25% of the total cost is required. Final balance required 8 weeks before the due date.

A bond/sec. deposit is also taken to cover any damage/breakages.

Included in the rental price are electricity, water, swimming pool and garden maintenance. There is also a high chair and a baby cot, if requested.

A linen pack can be ordered at 6 GBP per person per week. It includes bed linen, a bath and hand towel. It does not include pool or beach towels.

Guests are requested to leave the property in the condition that it was found, namely all floors, toilets, sinks, showers and baths completely clean and ready to use by incoming guests. Dust bins should be emptied, bottles removd to the nearby bottle bank, and BBQ cleaned if used during the rental period.

Final cleaning charge of 90 euros, payable in cash, on arrival.

Lettings are from Wednesday to Wednesday.

A Gourmet meal on arrival or during the rental period. Choose from an extensive menu and have a restaurant quality meal ready for your arrival. This service can be ordered at any time during your stay or before your arrival, but a minimum 24 hours notice is required.
