Property Description

Villa Ceret is a well equipped, comfortable modern property, which sleeps 6 and is located in the foothills of the Pyrenees.

The property enjoys breathtaking views of Mount Canigou, which is snow-capped from November to May.

Set in its own garden with terraces surrounding the private swimming pool (which can be floodlit at night), the house offers peace and tranquillity, but is only a 2 minute walk into the village of Maureillas, where there is a Post Office, a market butcher, bars, wine shops, a restaurant, two patisseries, a pizza shop, and a large boules ground.

The sun-kissed Mediterranean beaches are a mere 20 minute drive and the Spanish border, where there is tax-free shopping, is only 2 km away.

The charming medieval town of Ceret - famous for its modern art museum, where works of Picasso and others are exhibited is just a 5 minute drive. The Saturday market is a definite must!

The Winter ski resorts are an hour and a half away.

Inside the Property

The entrance hallway leads into the kitchen which is fully equipped with appliances needed for a perfect self catering holiday.

The hallway also leads into the bright living/dining area, where there is a dining table and chairs, two reclining chairs and a sofa, which can be used as a further double bed, if needed. The living area also enjoys an attractive open fireplace. There are 3 sets of French doors leading out onto the front, side or rear terrace.

From the hallway, there is a corridor that leads to the rest of the house, where there are 2 bedrooms - 1 has a double bed and the other has 2 singles, which may be made up as a double, if required.

The main bathroom has a bath and an overhead shower facility, a wash basin and a WC. There is a second separate shower room with a wash basin, and a washing machine. There is also a second and separate WC off the hallway.

Outside the Property

Outside the house, there are 2 separate gardens. The front is laid to lawn. The back garden is a tiled terrace and is where the swimming pool is located. There is an outside dining table and chairs, sun beds and a BBQ available.

The view from this terrace are spectacular.

Booking & Payment Info

To reserve the property, the client must complete and sign the booking form and return it, together with a non-refundable deposit equal to 25% of the total cost of the holiday.

The remaining balance, including the security deposit, is payable not less than 8 weeks before the start of the rental period. Reservation made within 8 weeks of the start of the rental period, require full payment at the time of booking.

A security deposit of £150 per week or part week of a rental period is required in case of damage to the property or its contents. However, the sum reserved by this clause shall not limit the client's liability to the owner. The owner will account to the client for the security deposit and refund the balance due within two weeks after the end of the rental period.

The rental price includes electricity, gas, water.

Lettings are from Thursday to Thursday in July to August, otherwise they are from Saturday to Saturday from September to June.

The rental period shall commence at 4.00 pm on the first day and finish at 10.00 am on the last day of the rental period.

The maximum number to reside in the property must not exceed 8 unless the owner has given written permission.

A linen pack can be ordered for £6 per person, per week. Should the rental be for 2 weeks, it is possible to opt for a 1 week linen pack and wash the bed linen during the rental.

A Gourmet meal on arrival, or during the rental stay! Choose from an extensive menu and a restaurant quality meal ready on arrival at the villa. This is often very welcome after a long day of travelling. The menu is sent at the same time as the directions to the property. This service may be ordered at any time during the rental period but a minimum of 24 hours notice is required.

Horse riding can be arranged, whether you are an expert, a novice or a complete beginner. What could be lovelier than a ride through vineyards on a trail that takes you through, and a long the river.

A local wine tour can also be arranged. See and taste some of the best wines in the region.
