Property Description

This beautiful villa is set in 2,300 sq metres flat terrain giving absolute privacy to the occupants.

It is ideal for a party of up to eight adults as it comprises of four bedrooms and four bathrooms, a large living room and a fully equipped kitchen.

The gardens are beautiful and well maintained with a variety of flowering shrubs, cypress and olive trees.

The villa is conveniently located and has easy access to the motorway, Nice airport, Cannes and Antibes and is yet only 5 minutes drive to the city of Grasse. Other villages close by are Mougins and Cabris.

The hamlet of Plascassier is located between Valbonne (2.8 km) and Grasse (7 km) and only 31 km away from Nice airport. Although bordered by several communes, Valbonne, Opio, Mouans-Sartoux and Châteauneuf-de-Grasse, it falls under the jurisdiction umbrella of Grasse.

The village is slightly "perched" (300m on a hilltop) with several village houses, a small post office, village school, restaurant, library, and Church of Saint-Pancrace and Saint-Donat dating back to the beginning of the 17th century. The church is well worthwhile visiting as it has the most beautiful paintings. Just next to the church is a pretty fountain known as “des Dauphins” and built circa 1891. The main shopping area is located at the foot of the village on the D4 along Route de Plascassier and Route de Valbonne. It sits partly in Plascassier and partly actually in the commune of Mouans-Sartoux.

There you’ll find a small but well stocked supermarket (SuperU), alongside a good selection of typical village shops, several estate agents (l’Oustaou, Immo Plascassier and Spot Immobilier), Les Pains de Provence bakery selling the crustiest banettes in town, flower shop, butcher's and a good green grocer called Le Panier Provençal. There’s no bank but SuperU has an ATM inside its entrance.

For all periods of rental, linen and bath towels are included in the price, however pool towels are not. Electricity will be charged on a usage basis, approx. 30 euros per week and telephone calls are incoming only. There is a maid service on Wednesdays and Saturdays and a linen change after each week.  Final cleaning is included in the price. 

We regret we do not accept pets at the villa or allow smoking inside the villa.

The spacious living room has comfortable seating, an open fire place, television, video and DVD player. Double doors lead out on to the terrace with great view of the mountains and the city of Grasse.

The dining table is at the far end of the room.

The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom and a mobile air conditioning unit and the remaining three bedrooms have large mobile fans for those warm evenings!

All beds are doubles 2x2 metres and can be either made up as one beds or single beds.

The fully equipped kitchen has both gas and electric cooking plates together with all the usual kitchen appliances. There is a second fridge in the basement.

The spectacular views from this property take your breath away, whether it is early morning or as the sun goes down.

The pool measures 12 metres by 6 metres which is ideal for swimming lengths or just playing. The furniture consists of a selection of sun loungers and parasols for your relaxation.

Dining outside is a pleasure during the day or in the evening.

The soil here is rich in clay and chalk it and creates ideal growing conditions for rose and jasmine plants. In this area alone there are six jasmine producers selling their produce to the renowned perfume industry in Grasse. It is still possible to visit one of the producers “Domain de Manon”.

Another bakery, Au Pain de Baptiste, has recently opened selling a wide selection of tasty loaves (walnuts, olives, multi-cereal, etc). Those of you with a sweet tooth will enjoy their Tarte au Citron. Next door is a new green grocer L'Ilot Vert - that opens at 6am - with a lovely selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and local produce. Just across from them is a BP garage - that actually stocks some rather excellent rosés and red wines at very heart-warming prices (the rosés are suitably chilled).

Booking & Payment Info

PAYMENT: A deposit cheque for 50% of the total cost is required. Final balance required 8 weeks before the due date.

A bond/security deposit is also taken to cover pool/telephone/ electricity and any breakages.
