Property Description

Mas St Pierre is a 5 bedroom, stone Provençal Farm house of 400m2 (4300 sq ft) with an abundance of exposed timbers, dating from 1740, with swimming pool set in 8000 m2 (2 acres) of garden and olive groves.

The house has recently been thoughtfully renovated to add a 100 sqm self-contained,light and airy air conditioned apartment in the attic, and a new air conditioned extension of 50 sqm with cantilevered deck overlooking the garden and the pool below.

Situated in a very quiet, semi-rural area, Mas St Pierre is an ideal place to get away from it all, although only 25 minutes from Nice Airport, 10 minutes from Valbonne, and 15 minutes from Cannes and its beaches. There is a supermarket and golf course at Opio only a 3 minute drive away.

Final check-out cleaning will be charged at GBP 120.00

NOTE: We regret we do not accept pets or allow smoking inside the villa.

CHILDREN: 1 travel cot and a high chair are available upon request, free of charge.

Inside the Property

Living Area

Mas St Pierre is a traditional stone Mas. The walls of the living area are exposed stone and the ceilings are of Provençal exposed timbers and beams. The entrance area has a large open fireplace and is open plan with the new family room and large music room.

All the furniture is either new or antique and of excellent quality, the style selected to compliment the Provençal style of the Mas.

Family Room

Newly constructed, this air conditioned 500 sq ft room has old timbers in the ceiling, stone walls and oak floor. A large amount of glazing allows panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. There is an oriental feel to this room with paintings by well known Vietnamese artists and Chinese furniture. Entertainment is provided by a Samsung 55 inch LED TV, Onyuku and KEF surround sound system, FreeSat Satellite TV with 100+ channels and a media centre with more than 500 movies and thousands of music tracks

Music Room

A large room with a harpsichord, electronic keyboard and guitars.

TV Room

Stone walls and massive timbers give a cosy feeling to this room which has a Surround Sound DVD system, 42" flat screen LCD TV, Hi-fi, CD Player, Karaoke, Wii and Xbox.

Kitchen

The kitchen has recently been renovated with modern, sleek Italian-designed units and unusual stone worktops. The light and airy kitchen is fully equipped with a range of home comforts including dishwasher, microwave, 5 ring gas range with electric oven and a large central island equipped with stools - ideal for a quick snack or a chat with whoever is cooking! The kitchen opens onto the large dining/living area, which in turn, leads onto either the rear dining terrace or onto the teak suspended terrace.

There is a utility room with a washing machine, sink, fridge/freezer, a WC and basin.

Mas St Pierre has 5 bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 10 adults plus 1 infant (1 travel cot) and are on two floors.

On the First Floor:

Bedroom 1 - Queen-size bed with wash basin.

Bedroom 2 - Double bedroom with two single beds and washbasin.

Bedroom 3 - Double bedroom with two single beds.

Bedroom 4 - Double Bedroom with double bed.

These bedrooms have been newly renovated to expose the ceiling beams and have oak flooring throughout. There are free standing fans available, if necessary.

On the First floor there is a family bathroom and a shower room both with washbasins and WCs.

On the Second floor, there is a beautiful, newly converted 100 sqm apartment, with a king size bed, dressing area, kitchenette, living area with Satellite TV and a full bathroom en suite with bath, shower, washbasin and WC.

This apartment is air conditioned and has its own entrance across a small bridge or maybe accessed through a door on the First Floor.

Bed linen, towels and pool towels are supplied and are changed once a week for rentals of more than one week, which is included in the rental price.

There is a burglar alarm which is linked to a local security company.

Outside the Property

Mas St Pierre has a large, private swimming pool that has recently been renovated with a fully automated non-chlorine system. It is situated below the front of the house in a secluded area, surrounded by a paved terrace area with 8 sun loungers, a table, chairs and parasol.

Under the 'Raffarin'law for the security of swimming pools, the pool is secured by the safest method - a locked gate, a tasteful wrought iron fence and a stone wall.

The pool maybe heated at an additional cost.

A professional trampoline is installed in the garden and a full sized table tennis table can be used on one of the large tiled patios.

The garden covers an area of 8,000 sqm, a good proportion of which is landscaped with grass and flowers, which overlooks the valley to the SE. The remainder of the lower grounds comprises of an ancient olive grove and grassland, making it ideal for children to run wild and play games.

There is a small vegetable garden full of seasonal vegetables and herbs, which guests are welcome to help themselves to.

There is a covered parking area and for added security, the entrance to the villa is via an automatic wrought iron gate.

The house is on a slope and therefore there is some unfenced 2m high terracing - small children may need to be supervised.

The garden and pool are maintained weekly by a gardener and poolman.

Booking & Payment Info

PAYMENT: A deposit cheque/transfer for 50% of the total cost is required at the time of booking. The final balance is required 8 weeks before the arrival date.

A bond/security deposit is also taken to cover telephone and any breakages.

Check in time is after 4pm and check out time is before 10am on the day of departure.

A Welcome basket is included in the rental price.
