Property Description
La Bastide is set in 2000 sqm, it has a lovely open sea view and is surrounded by olive trees, in a quiet, very calm tranquil area.
This beautiful old Bastide has been tastefully extended, with stone floors throughout. The interiors have being totally refurbished.
The overall furnishing of the villa is a comfortable, contemporary style, which is light, airy and tastefully modern Provencal . It is made up of an original two storey stone Mas with a large two storey rendered extension. The unlit lane that leads to the property is quite steep ordered by gardens on one side and olive groves on the other.
Outside Entrance
The property is enclosed with large electric gates. There is south facing parking for 3 cars but no shade. The driveway leading to the front door is tarmac and quite steep.
For all periods of rental - linen/towels including beach/pool towels are included in the price.
No smoking allowed inside the house.

Inside the Property
Entrance Hall Way
Approx. 8m2 with Provencal style chest of drawers. Doorway on immediate left to guest wc and tiled stairway with wrought iron banister on the right, leading to study area on landing and master bedroom 2 and ensuite. Doorway to master bedroom 1 on second left and doorway to sitting room.
Master Bedroom 1
This is the second doorway on the left of entrance hall. There is a corridor lined on both sides with built in wardrobes and cupboards.
At the end of the corridor on the left, there is an east facing independent bathroom with full size bath, wash hand basin, toilet and separate shower.
The doorway at the end of the corridor opens into a triple aspect enormous, bright and airy bedroom. This has three French doors leading onto south facing terrace and a small east facing window. There is a flatscreen TV for guests use.
This has 180 cms wide bed and two chest of drawers and a large round table.
Landing Study Area
At the head of the stairs there is a book shelved lined study area with a large painted wooden desk and comfortable upholstered chair. It has an east facing window.
Master Bedroom 2
There is a short corridor lined with built in wardrobes leading to the bedroom, again this a triple aspect bedroom, with French doors onto a small south facing terrace with two chairs and table. There are windows to the west and the east. This has 180 cm wide bed, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers. On the eastern side of the room there is door to the ensuite. North east facing window with basin, wc, corner bath with shower over.
Sitting Room
Two large French doors open onto south facing large terrace overlooking garden and pool with fantastic sea view vista.
Simply furnished with a large white sofa, two arm chairs and a coffee table. Provencal painted side buffet and TV cabinet. Large LCD TV, satellite with 300 channels which receives sky, Dutch, French and German TV channels. DVD player and stereo are also housed here. There is a lovely large open stone fireplace and the over all effect is already charming. Arched door way to corridor.
The original stone Mas starts at this arched doorway. The corridor leading to the dining room has a utility room on the left and second guest wc on the right.
Utility Room
There is a large utility room on the left with washing machine and tumble dryer, laundry sink and new shower cubicle. A drinks fridge is going into this room.
WC
This has a wash hand basin, together with toilet.
Dining Room
French doors and window to south facing terrace. This is beautifully appointed with Provencal style dresser, side board and table and chairs for eight. There is all new crockery and glass ware for 12. There are two locked cupboards in top of the dresser where the owner keeps personal crockery and glassware.
In the corner there is a curved tiled stairway with wrought iron banister to the upstairs bedrooms.
There is a double doorway to the kitchen.
Kitchen
It is fully equipped with American fridge freezer, built in hob, built in oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, plus anespresso machine (please bring your own capsules with you), electric juicer, etc.

Second Floor accessed from dining room staircase
Bedroom 1
Immediately right at the top of the stairs, south facing, air conditioned twin bedded room. Built in wardrobes.
Immediately left is the corridor accessing the other bedrooms, bathroom and WC. This corridor is lined with built in cupboards opposite the second bedroom on right. These are the wardrobes for bedroom 2.
Bathroom
Double basin, bidet, large bath with hand held shower fitting. There is a large oval window over the bath. There is a wc on the opposite side of the corridor.
Bedroom 2
This is the smallest of all the bedrooms approximately 9m2 containing two small single beds and a bedside cabinet. This is also south facing and air conditioned. There is another low oval window .
Bedroom 3
This is the largest of the three bedrooms, it is south facing, containing twin beds.(which could be made into a large double) Chest of drawers, bedside cabinet and built in wardrobe and air conditioned.
Outside the Property
The Bastide has a sea view and large, flat garden area with oleander bushes and two beautiful, large palm trees.
The terrace is L shaped and has a dining are for al fresco dining and a separate sitting area.
The Bastide outside living area centres around a huge south facing terrace overlooking the swimming pool and garden, which all the ground floor rooms open on to. The large area outside master bedroom 1 and the sitting room is going to be furnished with rattan furniture and shaded by an awning in March which will create a stunning setting for outdoor living. Further along the terrace there is a very large rectangular teak table which seats 10 and two enormous parasols for shade. The façade of the dining room is covered with a fuchsia pink bougainvillea and there are several large terracotta pots filled with topiary. There are eight steps leading from the terrace to the pool.
This is a large tiled pool which can be heated. There are six pool beds/loungers on the terrace around the pool. This terrace is surrounded by flat lawned areas.
There are some raised flower beds between the upper terrace and the pool terrace, the rest is laid to lawn. There are steps to a lower grassed garden with olive and fruit trees. There is a wooden playhouse in this lower garden which can be used by tenants.
The images of the house were taken in February and therefore no outside areas were taken with the exception of some view shots.

Booking & Payment Info
PAYMENT: A deposit cheque/transfer for 50% of the total cost is required at the time of booking. The final balance is required 8 weeks before the arrival date.
A bond/security deposit of 2500 euros/£1700 approx. is also taken to cover telephone and any breakages.
Weekly maid service is included in the rental price. Extra hours can be arranged with the guardian at 15 Euros per hour.
