The property is situated close to Plascassier, Valbonne and Opio in a secluded and tranquil location but get close to golf courses, beaches and shopping opportunities.

The villa lends itself to several families or friends wanting to enjoy the Cote d'Azur, with its vast lawns, secluded shaded seating areas and the large pool area with summer kitchen or as a location for a French wedding, a special event or even as a great place to have a houseparty over Christmas or New Year.

Inside the Property

The villa has recently been renovated in a modern/Provencal style with high quality furnishings and decoration.

The main bastide has a large entrance hall, a 100 sqm sitting/games/media room which is divided into 3 areas - a seating area with 3 sofas overlooking the gardens, a media area with plasma TV, Bose sound system, a DVD player, stereo system and a huge sofa that seats 10. There is also a pool table. Just off the hallway is a small study with a desk and WiFi, as well as a large dining room with space for at least 16 people and a large serving sideboard, with a galleried library above, which has a large sofa that is perfect for quietly relaxing with a book. There is a small gym and separate sauna. Both the hall and living room have large, working open fireplaces.

The well equipped kitchen has a breakfast area and an adjoining utility room, which is fully equipped with a large volume washing machine, a large volume tumble dryer, a second dishwasher and 2 fridges.

There are 7 bedrooms in total, 4 in the main house and 3 bedrooms known as the pool suites. In the main house, the Master bedroom has a superking bed, a large bathroom en suite, with a bath, shower, 2 washbasins, WC and bidet, a dressing area and doors leading onto a terrace overlooking the garden.

Bedroom 2, has a bed that can be made up as a superking or a twin, with a full bathroom en suite - bath, shower, 2 washbasins, WC and bidet.

Bedroom 3, has a bed that can be made up as a superking or a twin and has a separate bathroom with a bath, washbasin and WC.

Bedroom 4 has a bed that can be made up as a superking or a twin, plus a single bed and has a shower room en suite with shower, washbasin and WC.

All bedrooms in the main house have air conditioning.

The Pool Suites are located a short walk past the pool area. There are 3 further double/twin suites.

Bedroom 5, has a bed that can be made up as a superking or a twin, with a bathroom en suite with a bath, 2 washbasins, WC.

Bedroom 6, has a king size bed plus a single bed and has a shower room en suite with a shower, 2 washbasins and WC.

Bedroom 7, has a bed that can be made up as a superking or a twin, with a shower room en suite with a shower, a washbasin and WC.

The pool suites all have free standing fans.

Outside the Property

The villa is accessed through large electric gates onto a private drive. There is ample parking for several cars and a 2 car carport as well as a large double garage.

The house is privately situated in its own grounds with a mature and well stocked garden which is home to many species of fruit trees, including olives, lemons, limes, apricots, kumquat, mulberry, cherry and fig. Guests are encouraged to enjoy whatever is in season!

The house has not been converted to accommodate wheelchairs, however there is reasonable access on the ground floor and a ramp leads to the pool suites which could be used by a wheelchair with assistance.

Directly in front of the house is one acre of flat lawn leading to a wooded area with a stone bench and table. Also at the front of the house is a large terrace which has the main outdoor dining area, complete with gas BBQ and a table for at least 16 people.

There are other smaller seating areas scattered throughout the garden.

The large, heated, free form swimming pool with diving board is surrounded by a large tiled terrace area with lighting, a gazebo and 12 sun loungers. The pool has a stepped shallow area on one side of the pool which is ideal for children or relaxing in the sun.

Next to the pool is a recently refurbished pool house with a kitchen, a shower room, a seating area with BBQ.

Within the garden is a recently refurbished all-weather tennis court as well as a Boules court and a further terraced area.

Booking & Payment Info

50% deposit of total rental is payable upon booking with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival.

A security deposit of 5000 euros is payable with balance and is fully returnable unless there is loss or damage to the property or its contents. The deposit covers all keys, security gate devices and towels.

Rental is from Wed - Wed, which give the option of enjoying full weekends if staying for a week or two, or just coming for a long weekend. Please enquire for details. It also makes travel and car hire availability better.

Rental price includes soft towels, pool towels, cotton sheets, bedcovers and pillows.

There is a maid service one hour each morning for a general tidy round and then 2 further periods of cleaning per week for a deeper clean , with more available by arrangement.
