Château de la Coutancière is a refined early 19th century residence. Guests will enjoy a stunning authentic decor : fine panelled walls, remarkable parquet floors, antique marble chimneys, and plenty of seating give you a real sense of château-life.

Peacefully set in its idyllic park of more than 11 ha, Coutancière allows you to discover the charm and history of the Loire Valley: the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud; the historical cities of Saumur, Chinon and Tours; the many châteaux and vineyards of the Loire Valley are at short distance.

All rooms are decorated in style and have breathtaking views on the park. You will truly appreciate the elegance and tranquil beauty of the estate.

Stroll in the grounds, relax by the log fire, or enjoy the hot tub or heated outdoor pool.

Every day, you will have the possibility to enjoy a perfect candlelight dinner.

Château de la Coutancière will be the setting for a most luxurious and memorable holiday in France.

At Coutancière, you enjoy a warm and cozy atmosphere. Time stands still as you wander the more than 27 peaceful acres that comprise the estate. For your utmost relaxation, there are a hot tub and a new heated outdoor pool. The giant outdoor chess and the Jeu de Boules course are also entirely to the guests' disposal.

Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00. Every day, you will have the possibility to enjoy a perfect candlelight dinner, for which you can subscribe at the latest 1 day before.

At Coutancière, there is ample parking space. The domain is entirely gated, so your car will be safe.

Inside the Property

The Chateau has 10 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. All the bedrooms have their own character and are stylishly furnished. The twin beds ensure that the composition of the bedrooms can be arranged to the specific requirements of the guests.

On the First Floor, there are 2 sitting rooms, 6 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each room and 5 bathrooms, with a bath, shower, washbasin and WC.

On the Second Floor, there are 4 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, with a shower, washbasin and WC. 

Fully furnished and decorated with antiques, the castle exudes a special and cosy atmosphere.

The traditional gentlemen's room and the hunting room create the ideal atmosphere to relax in style. 

The castle also has 3 other salons including a TV salon with satellite TV.

The castle kitchen is professionally equipped with a top of the range 8 ring Boretti stove. 

Outside the Property

The stables are located in one of the annexes. Guests may bring their own horses with pre-arrangement.

There are 10 bicycles at the disposal of guests. The castle is centrally located in its own grounds and the domain offers plenty of privacy and tranquility.

Booking & Payment Info

Payment: 30% of the rental cost must be paid within 7 days after booking. The 70% balance must be settled at the latest 6 weeks before the date of arrival at the property.

If a booking is made within 6 weeks before the arrival date, full payment must be made within 3 days after booking.

A security deposit is required to be paid at the time of arrival. Any incidental costs will be deducted at the end of the stay and the remaining deposit will be refunded.

The rental price includes 7 nights accommodation (no breakfast), bed linen, bath towels, kitchen linen. Oil between the months of April to October.

Pets are not allowed.

The water meters and electricity meters are read on arrival and at the end of the rental. Both are charged per usage. 

There is a mandatory cleaning charge of Euro 300.
